To me, yoga is a dance between empowering techniques and the most gentle security blanket. Yoga is a forgiving, yet encouraging practice, resulting in strength, flexibility and clarity. I love guiding people of all ages through yoga practices so they may obtain the peace and balance they require and deserve.
My yoga journey began in 2002, when I entered a studio, hopeful to find relief from chronic neck pain. Within only a few classes, I found that relief, along with an inspired sense of purpose and a deep appreciation for the physical body and its abilities.
I immediately began yoga teacher training to learn more about yoga’s healing possibilities and preventative philosophies.
In 2006 I began guiding adults through alignment-based and breath-focused yoga classes, adding prenatal, restorative and children’s classes to my schedule in 2008.
I still love practicing yoga, teaching the poses and guiding classes. Classes and training take place at the Yoga Truly studio which has now moved online.

MLIS, Science Meditations Podcast
Guest Trainer: The History of Yoga, Yoga Philosophy, The Bhagavad Gita
I’ve been involved in meditation for over four decades. During that time, I’ve been meditating, writing, storytelling, and teaching.
I was born in New Delhi, India and grew up in Hamilton, Canada which is near Toronto. This means I can make a really good cup of masala chai or hot chocolate at a moment’s notice.
I have a undergrad degree with coursework in Neuroscience, Philosophy and Religious Studies and a Master’s Degree in Information Science.
I created Meditation Questions Podcast and the Science Meditations Podcast as a place for those interested in meditation from a scientific perspective. Lots of people who aren’t science-minded have told me they enjoy it too. That makes me happy.
You can get in touch with me by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
Thanks for reading, and I hope you give the podcast a listen. I try to have fun with it.
About Kathy Aruna Humphrys
E-RYT 500, RCYT, BA
Lead Trainer: Ambassador Yoga 200 Hour YTT RYS, Young Yoga Masters Children’s Training RCYS
Aruna is an internationally recognized expert in teaching kids yoga and a speaker and trainer around the world and locally in Ontario, Canada. She is the author of the Registered Children’s Yoga Training at Young Yoga Masters and co-founder of Ambassador Yoga 200 HR RYS Yoga Teacher Training. Aruna is read by thousands of new and experienced yoga teachers through the Young Yoga Masters blog.
After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree, with a major in Political Science, Aruna worked for a decade in social work with people who were houseless and under-housed, working in day shelters, women’s and family shelters, and supportive housing projects.
After discovering yoga in 1995, Aruna went on to complete her first yoga teacher training in 1998, she studied Vedic-based meditation directly with a Guru for a decade and lived in an Ashram for 6 years.
She’s taught every age group and in locations from schools to community centres to international retreats.
Aruna’s focus is now on supporting yoga teachers through her kids’ yoga training and the Yoga Trainer Fast Track.
The Inspiration for Ambassador Yoga: From Student to Teacher to Trainer
Ambassador yoga was started by two kids yoga teachers (that’s us, Claire and Aruna), when we got inspired watching the kids we teach grow up.
As the children became tweens, then teens, we noticed kids yoga classes just didn’t suit their needs. Tweens and teens wanted yoga that served their interests and lifestyle and they got excited by the idea of taking a Tween/Teen Leadership Program that would also prepare them to enter yoga teacher training.
If teens can get their drivers license, becoming a life guard and camp counselor, work part time in service industries and retail, if teens can do all this, we wondered, why can’t they become yoga teachers?
And so the Ambassador Yoga 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training was born.
About the 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training
It took us three years to write this 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training Program, including the manuals, Trainer Lesson Plans, Yoga Alliance Syllabus. We tested it and revised it in our studio for three years as well.
The 200 hour Ambassador Yoga Teacher Training is so thorough and interactive that adults fell in love with it too! It equips those who have been taking yoga regularly (at least 40 classes) to become excellent yoga teachers.
About the Trainer Fast-Track Program
We created the 200 Hour program so we know the sacrifice of time and money it took to step back from other important things to create a Yoga Teacher Training.
So we knew that all this work could help other experienced yoga teachers get their Training started too. We knew the Trainer Fast-Track Program would help both adult yoga teacher and kids yoga teachers. Our goal is to help you start offering your yoga teacher training in 30 days by using our manuals, Trainer Lesson Plans, Yoga Alliance Syllabus, and marketing materials. We lead you (one-to-one over the phone or Zoom) to deliver an amazing Training to your students.
Ambassador Yoga Growing Globally
The Ambassador faculty is expanding every month with new Experienced Yoga Teachers becoming Lead Trainers in their own Registered Yoga Schools. If this sounds like something that could help you, you can get more information here.
