Ambassador Yoga was honoured to present at the first National Kids Yoga Conference on September 27, 2014.
From Teen Yogi to Yoga Teacher
Our workshop at the conference was part of the Teen Track. We were invited to speak because of our new Yoga Teacher Training geared towards teens. As far as I’ve seen, no one else has taken kids yoga to the next level in this way. Our goal at the Conference is to launch a few teens onto the path of mindful living and the thought of becoming a Yoga Teacher at the 200 Hour Level.
This innovative Teen Yoga Teacher Training Program is sure to inspire a few young yogis.
In the workshop:
- We’ll look at what is required to become a yoga teacher who meets Yoga Alliance standards.
- We’ll also look at a recent study on the Growth of Yoga and what that means for Yoga Teachers.
- Then we’ll try a short exercise to give you a taste of what its like to be a yoga teacher.
For teens, becoming a yoga teacher is a process whereby you can continue with school and work part time (or full time in the summer) while you’re in school and beyond. It’s also a process of connecting teens to the yoga community.
We Hope To See You at the Next National Kids Yoga Conference
There is still time to register for the National Kids Yoga Conference.
Interested in Becoming a Yoga Teacher Trainer?
We are at the Conference on Saturday September 27 teaching our workshop in the afternoon, we’re also planning meetings with Yoga Teachers who are interested in becoming Yoga Teacher Trainers with Ambassador Yoga. This is especially suited for kids yoga teachers who have been teaching for a few years, Yoga Teachers who may be watching the kids they teach become tweens or teens. Teachers who want to help their students take the next step and become Yoga Teachers.

Or if you can drop us a line to talk about it a little more:
The Ambassador Yoga Teacher Training launched this September 2014 with it’s first training in Grimsby, Ontario, Canada. We’re hoping to get teens doing yoga all over the world – but we can’t do it alone.
We need the help of qualified teachers to help teens take their yoga to the next level.
